What is Bash4Guild?
The Bash4Guild started in 2014 when founders Nik Larsen and Matt Bollero set out with a simple yet ambitious goal: to help young people with severe and persistent mental illness transition from adolescence to adulthood. How did they decide to help? By throwing a party called the Bash4Guild.
Now in its 7th year, the Bash4Guild has grown up. Initially considered the “ultimate party-with-a-purpose,” the Bash has grown into an event to remember for all adults that appreciate a night of impact, music, and fun.
The purpose of the Bash is twofold. First, it raises money for Guild’s Youth ACT program, whose team works directly with young people experiencing mental illness in our communities. Second, the Bash spreads the message that mental illness is nothing to be ashamed about. In fact, 1 in 25 Americans has a serious mental illness. It’s more common than most people think.
So, join us for a night to remember. Then, spread the word.
Together, we can make a difference.
BEHIND THE BASH.
Guild Incorporated exists to help people with mental illness lead quality lives by providing integrated treatment and services.
Guild’s Youth Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is a comprehensive, community-based approach to serving youth ages 16-20 who have a mental illness. The team works with individuals who have difficulty meeting daily needs, forming positive interpersonal relationships, excelling in school, or securing employment. By providing daily access to mental health, housing, and employment services, the Youth ACT team provides clients with the support they need to find lasting security, stability, and success.
Guild is a not-for-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors representing the communities they serve. In 2018, 2,905 unique adults and young adults in the Twin Cities Metro area received services from them.
